Bike rides accessible from Part-Dieu

Whether you're a weekend cyclist, a family out for a spin, or a long-distance enthusiast, Lyon is perfect for cycling. With its 540 km of cycle paths, the city offers safe and varied routes to discover directly from the Part-Dieu district. Here are three suggested routes to fully enjoy the beautiful weather, handlebars in hand.
Build up your strength before your two-wheeled tour through the streets of Lyon.
The Best Western Hôtel Créqui Lyon Part Dieu offers several breakfast options: express (eat in or takeaway), served in your room, or as a buffet.

Head to Parc de la Tête d'Or, between the quays and the rose garden.

This is a simple, pleasant ride, ideal for all levels. From Rue de la Part-Dieu, head to the banks of the Rhône and gently climb up to Parc de la Tête d'Or.
Along the way, the river accompanies your pedaling, with a lovely view of the landscaped banks. Once in the park, take a stroll among the tall trees, relax with a picnic or a reading break, and finish with a visit to the tropical greenhouses or the botanical garden.

The Dombes Trail: a mini-adventure for families

Small but full of charm, the Caluire Greenway, nicknamed the Dombes Trail, runs on a former railway line.
It connects Caluire to Sathonay-Camp, in a very natural setting.
It's a perfect option for a bike ride with children: few intersecting roads, secure access, and a bucolic atmosphere are on offer. It's sure to inspire youngsters to enjoy cycling.

On the way to Miribel-Jonage National Park with the ViaRhôna

Looking for a longer getaway? Follow the ViaRhôna, the iconic cycle path that connects Lake Geneva to the Mediterranean.
From Part-Dieu, cross the Raymond Barre Bridge, follow the Rhône, cross the Croix-Luizet Bridge, and ride along the Jonage Canal to the vast Miribel-Jonage Park.
A true haven of nature just a stone's throw from the city. Plan a day to enjoy the many swimming spots, playgrounds, and shaded trails.
For the return trip, there's a bike option... or a train from Montuel if your calves are tired.
