A long-time tradition
Since the 19ᵉ century, the people of Lyon have been placing luminous lights in their windows on December 8. Originally religious, the tradition has evolved over the centuries to become a true popular festival. The illuminations and animations scattered in the heart of the city now attract many tourists, French and foreigners. Exit the 2020 edition which had to deal with health restrictions: the mayor of Lyon announced that this year would be held a spectacular edition! From December 8 to 11, 2021, many animations and illuminations are planned for this festival of lights that promises to be unforgettable.
A festival for all ages
This year, the program wants to be more accessible to the youngest: it is in the park Sergent Blandan that are prepared illuminations which will please as well to the children as to the adults.
